1. I have never dived before, which program can I follow ?

We offer the Try Diving Package, perfectly adapted for your very first dive. 

It lasts one day, either in Tulamben or in Padang Bai (there is a 2 divers minimum for Padang Bai). It includes one 30-minute pool session and 2 dives in the ocean (30 – 40 minutes). You will leave from the beach if you are in Tulamben and from a boat in Padang Bai.

2. What are the different levels of diving certification ?

All PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) Dive Centres all over the world adhere to the same training standards:

3. How long does it take to get the PADI Dive Master certification ?

We highly recommend you to complete the Dive master program in 1 or 2 months. You must be PADI Rescue Diver certified (or an equivalent) and have a minimum of 40 dives to join this program.

If you are not yet certified as Rescue Diver, you can choose our “PADI Dive Master Internship” package or our package “Zero to Pro” according to your level.

At Atlantis Dune, you can also complete this program in 2 weeks with the "Dive Master Intensive course". To join it you must have completed a minimum of 50 dives.

4. Which languages are spoken by your instructors ?

At Atlantis Dune, our Instructors/guides team is international. The spoken languages are English, French, Chinese or Bahasa Indonesian.

5. Do you provide the diving equipment ?

To ensure your safety during your Bali diving experience, as well as giving you the utmost comfort in the Balinese dive sites, we provide you the best quality equipment (Aqualung or Beuchat equipment, less than 2 years old).

The equipment is included in daily diving trip packages and for all the courses.

However, it is not included in mini-safaris and safaris. But you can rent it from us!

 

The full equipment includes a BCD (buoyancy compensator), a wetsuit, a regulator, a diving mask, adjustable fins and diving boots.

 

Please note that the diving computer, torch and SMB (Surface Marker Buoy) are not included in the hire (extra charge of 8 USD/day for Suunto Zoop – 7 USD/day for torch)

 

A discount will be applied if you already have your own full equipment.

7. How many divers will be in my group ?

For each dive, the ratio Diver/Instructor are as follows:

  • Try diving: 2 divers/instructor
  • Daily Diving Trip: 4 certified divers/instructor or guide
  • OWD, AOWD, Rescue Diver Courses: 4 students/instructor 

The maximal capacity depends on our availability. Contact us and give us your dates, and we will give you a confirmation later.

8. Will the dive be cancelled in case of bad weather ?

At Atlantis, we dive all year round and in all types of weather conditions. In case of bad weather, your dive will be maintained. However, we will adapt to the weather conditions in order to ensure your safety.

 

9. I would like to do a night dive, is this possible ?

Yes, we do night dives on the USAT Liberty Wreck in Tulamben in supplement of a Daily Diving Trip in Tulamben (2 dives) only.

Note that we need a 2-people minimum to organize a night dive.

10. Can I book a (mini) safari if I am a solo diver ?

No, you must be with at least 2 divers to organize a mini safari or safari. But if you are alone, don’t hesitate to join a group for daily diving trip !

11. What is the price per person, per dive?

Each package has a different price according to its type and the number of dives. You will find all our prices here.

12. Do you provide the transfer from the hotel to the dive site?

Yes, we provide air-conditioned buses to transfer you from your hotel to the dive sites. Our free transfer zones are: Sanur, Denpasar, Seminyak, Kuta, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran. For other locations, surcharge is applicable. For other location, a surcharge is applicable (Ubud, Uluwatu…).

13. Do you provide meals ?

14. Do you provide the accommodation ?

  • For the Try Diving and the Daily Diving Trip, the accommodation is not included. However, you can contact us with questions about the different accommodation in Sanur. 
  • The accommodation is included in our Dive Safari package. You will stay in our selection of Balinese charming hotels (2/3 stars), on the island of gods. We can also book 4/5 stars hotels on request, according to the dive sites and availability, with a surcharge per night, per person. 
  • For the PADI Courses (OWD and AOWD) a hotel night is included according to the chosen option.

  • The accommodation is included in the PADI Divemaster internship package, except for the intensive package. 

15. Are the plane tickets included in the dive safari packages ?

Plane tickets are not included in our Dive Safari packages. These are some airlines that are connected to Bali from international flights: Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Eva Air, Quatar Airways & Thai Airways. 

16. When and how should I pay for the Daily Diving Trip/Try Diving/PADI Courses ?

You can pay by Credit Card, Visa or Master Card (extra 3% bank fees) or with AMEX (extra 4% bank fees).

 

You can also pay in cash: Euro, USD or Rupiah (we will apply the buying Banking Rate USD of our Bank BCA on day of payment).

17. Is it safe to fly after diving?

Even with busy holidays plan, you must not board a flight right after a dive. For your safety, you have to wait at least 18 hours between your last dive and taking a flight. For more information, please contact us.

18. Do I need a visa to enter Indonesia ?

Residents of 45 countries are eligible to enter Indonesia freely for 30 days (non-renewable). Please check if your country is part of this list with the Indonesian Embassy of your country.

If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, you have to apply for a tourism Visa. You have 2 options :

  • Visa on Arrival (VOA) : The Visa on Arrival allows you to stay 30 days in Indonesia, and can be extended once for 30 more days. For this Visa you apply directly in the airport in Bali (DPS). It costs around 35$, and the extension costs around 50$. 
  • 60 days Tourism Visa : You can apply for the Tourism Visa at the Indonesian embassy of your country. You must do it before your departure. This Visa allows you to stay 60 days and costs $40. 

19. Do I still need to pay the Airport Taxe when I leave Indonesia ?

Since February 1st 2015, you don’t have to pay the Airport Tax anymore when leaving Indonesia. This tax is now included in your plane ticket. 

20. Where can I dive if I stay in Kuta or Seminyak ?

If you stay in Kuta or Seminyak you can also dive with Atlantis International on every dive sites we offer, even if the bus leaves from Sanur !

Kuta and Seminyak are in our free transfer zone, so our air-conditionned buses will pick you up at your hotel or guesthouse. 

21. Where is the Dune Atlantis dive center located?

Our dive center is located in Sanur in the turn of the "Jl. By Pass Ngurah Rai".

23. Can I dive with Nitrox on every single diving spot in Bali ?

The use of enriched air, gives you the opportunity to stay underwater longer without decompression time, which means more time to enjoy the USAT Liberty wreck or to enjoy the submarine flora and fauna. You can enjoy Nitrox in all the diving spots of Bali except at Nusa Penida and Gili islands (Mimpang and Tepekong). 

24. Are there any medical restrictions when planning on diving?

If you are certified diver, a medical certificate isn’t compulsory in Indonesia. You will sign a discharge of responsibility PADI in wich you state to be healthy. However it’s recommended to consult  a specialist every year in order to have a medical certificate with you.

When doing the Try diving, you will always be asked to answer a medical questionary. We always send this medical questionary by email during a request of reservation. If any answer is positive, it is necessary to consult a doctor before diving with us to obtain a certificate of capacity ability to dive.

 

25. Can I go for a hike in the mountains / climb a volcano after a day of diving?

No you cannot.

It is necessary to wait for a minimum of 18 hours after your last dive (as for the plane) before going to high altitude.
