The world of Snorkeling in Bali!

Do you wish to enjoy the underwater wonders for a day trip without any diving envy or certification? Snorkeling is the activity you’re looking for! Bali has a lot of great spots where you just need a snorkel and a set of fins. You will snorkel and discover the treasures and natural wonders of the ocean. The Balinese tropical waters, part of the world’s famous Coral Triangle, features sunken coral gardens filled with swaying anemone and some of the world’s rarest fishes’ specimens.

These are some of the best snorkeling spots of Bali:

Tulamben – Tulamben is a small fishing village located on the less-visited north-east of Bali. This area is well-known for its black sand beaches, stunning underwater life and the famous USAT Liberty shipwreck! The shipwreck is very popular for divers, but as it is close by the shore – just 4 meters from the surface – the wreck is still visible for snorkelers!

Amed – Amed has lovely dive sites on the north-east coast of Bali, there is an abundant reef system: a fringing reef nearby the shore which is a shallow underwater paradise for snorkelers and divers. Amed’s coral reefs remains in a very good condition and is well-known for its gorgonian-covered coral bommies.

Nusa Penida – Nusa Penida is the perfect place to see the wonderful and majestic Manta rays. After a 40-minute boat ride from the shore of Bali, you will snorkel around the manta ray’s cleaning station and admire these majestic creatures. Afterwards, you will also get a chance to enjoy snorkeling on the rich coral reefs of this Balinese island.

Padang Bai – Located in the east of Bali, the beautiful fishing village called Padang Bai will amaze you with its Blue lagoon: the crystal-clear snorkeling and dive site. Since Blue Lagoon is located in a Bay, the conditions are ideal to enjoy the experience. Blue lagoon has an incredible corral garden with hard and soft coral and plenty of animal life such as lionfish, scorpion fish, stonefish, frog fish and maybe a nice turtle may show up!
