The Emergency First Response training focuses on strengthening lay rescuers’ confidence and willingness to respond in the event of a medical emergency. Participants in the course learn easy steps for emergency treatment and practice applying skills in a non-stressful learning setting. To boost learning and allow you to begin learning right away, all courses are supplemented by self-study manuals, videos, and fast reference cards. The courses take place in the Dune Penida dive center at Nusa Penida in Bali. EFR courses fulfill the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course, as well as all professional-level certifications. The vast majority of PADI Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors. The EFR courses listed below are based on internationally recognized medical emergency treatment guidelines.

What will you learn during the Emergency First Response course? Primary Care (CPR)

This course will teach you the procedures and tactics for dealing with life-threatening emergencies. You will learn eight skills for assisting patients who are not breathing, may not have a heartbeat, may have a spinal injury, are in shock, or are bleeding severely. You will learn how to perform CPR and continue to monitor the patient in order to provide the patient the best chance of survival while waiting for emergency medical care.

Secondary Care (First Aid)

Because many medical conditions are not life-threatening, and emergency medical assistance is sometimes delayed or unavailable, this course teaches you how to give pain relief and decrease the danger of future harm. You’ll practice bandaging and splinting as well as assessing various injuries and illnesses.

Care for Children

This training provides learners with the opportunity to acquire, practice, and use emergency care skills particular to assisting infants and children in medical situations. It is intended for those who work with children or who may be called to respond to an emergency involving children. This course is an option.

CPR & AED

This course emphasizes CPR instruction as well as teaching learners how to utilize an AED (automated external defibrillator). When an employer or government requires this training, the CPR & AED course fits the requirement. This course is frequently included in First Aid at Work programs.
