Menjangan island is located at the most north-westerly part of Bali and is named after the herd of deer that inhabits the island. Menjangan is part of Bali Barat National Park, that is why access to the island is monitored and protected.
The island is known to have one of the best-preserved coral reefs, white sand beaches and an abundant variety of marine life in the area. At certain times of the year there is a possibility to spot whitetip reef sharks and if you are really lucky you might even spot a whale shark.
The dive conditions are often optimal because of the light current, water temperature ranging between 27 and 30 degrees, visibility up to 50 metres and the depth can go down to 40 metres.
Dune Atlantis offers day trips (including two dives) to Menjangan island. It offers a 4:30 hour air-conditioned ride along beautiful landscape, views and rice fields, transport to the dive site by a local wooden boat , lunch and drinks, dive guide or instructor and full set of diving equipment. Because of the long ride there is a minimum of 3 divers needed to join our daily trips.
Not excited for a long ride in one day? We also offer a mini dive safari to Menjangan + Tulamben (3 days/ 6 dives). Click here for more information
Certification level required: certified diver
Not a certified diver? You can still enjoy the underwater world of Menjangan because the island is also a snorkelling paradise.
