EXCHANGES WITH YOUR INSTRUCTOR

You will exchange a lot with your instructor to discuss your experience as a diver, as well as your expectations. With him, you will develop and design your training. You will choose out of 15 different types of adventure dives to complete your course. For example, you can try deep dive, night dive, sidemount configuration, peak performance buoyancy and many more.

Nusa Penida is the perfect place for this training. Why ? Because the sites are famous for their beauty, but also for their technicality. Dune’s instructors are familiar with all Nusa Penida dive sites. They will allow you to get the best out of your training.

Get credit!

Each Adventure Dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a specialty diver course, ask your Instructor if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive.

Who should take the Advanced Open Water course ?

PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to step up and enroll in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – check with your Penida Instructor. lf you’re already an Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced open Water Diver certification.

What will you learn during the PADI Advanced Open Water course ?

When you passed your PADI Open water, you started a real passion for scuba diving. Therefore, like most of us, the desire never stops leaving you to discover even more about this world. But also to progress. For the PADI Advanced Open Water training, you will plan your learning path with your Penida dive instructor.

Here, less theoretical courses, learning is indeed based on an exchange between enthusiasts. once you have read the corresponding chapters in the book, the briefings Will be an opportunity to make a quick review of your knowledge before each dive.

Concrete feedbacks

The full debriefings with your instructor will allow you to get more insights of each chosen adventure dive, with concrete feedback. During the dives you will practice playful exercises, putting into practice new techniques. Or demonstrating in a simple way, certain concepts of scuba diving. An effective way to continue your exploration of Nusa Penida dive sites by combining fun, learning and safety.

Five adventure dives

There are two required dives : Deep and underwater Navigation. But you Will choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time. The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification. exploring wrecks and many more.

What scuba gear will you use ?

Beyond using basic scuba equipment, yodel need a compass and dive knife or dive tool. You’ll also use specialized gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. For example, you’d obviously need a sidemount configuration during the Sidernount Adventure Dive. Your Penida Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as a dive light for night diving or lift bag for search and recovery diving.
