Dune Atlantis International Bali reminds you that on Tuesday 28th of March 2017 from 6 o’clock in the morning will begin Nyepi, a sacred day for the Balinese, where it is formally forbidden to leave the house, switch on the light and make noise to prevent evil spirits, passing over the island, to not go down to hinder the happiness of the inhabitants.
Everything stops that day on the Island of Gods for 24 hours! All activities, traffic, and even the airport are frozen ! Of course hotels still offer a minimum service and you can stay there during this day. We invite you the evening before, on the 27th, to stroll through the streets and follow the processions of Ogoh-Ogoh (giant papier-mâché statues) that Balinese people made during the previous weeks ! Immersion in Balinese culture guaranteed !
Please note that exeptionnaly for Nyepi we will close earlier on Monday 27th of march at 4:30pm. We will open again on Wenesday 29th of march at 7:30am.
