I am an IT guy, working as an engineering manager for Microsoft. Looking to get out of the office and enjoy the ocean ore !
I started diving back in University in Southern California, almost 35 years ago.!
Bali is a wonderful island full of great friendly people, great food, and (mostly) great weather !
I had been to Bali before and dove with a shop down the street. While visiting the Shanghai Dive Show (DRT) I met the founder Jerome and was highly impressed with him and the shop. After a little more research it was obvious that I was going to do my DM at Atlantis.
Atlantis met all of my expectations, and even more ! The people are wonderful, and I have made some great friends.
After my DM I stayed in Bali to work on my PADI Instructor with the Atlantis iDC featuring Patrick Tassin as the Course Director. After a long, tough, rigorous, but fun ! 2+ weeks I passed my IE and am now an OWSI !
My next steps are to go back to my IT job and dream about how I can teach and dive a lot more often !
Why did I choose to take IDC ?
I have always loved to help others learn and discover new things, being an instructor gives me the opportunity to teach others my passion and to discover their passions !
